단수민 개인전 <그날 내가 마주한 것은>은 ‘한 화면에 구상적 요소와 추상적 요소가 충돌할 때 어떤 결과가 나올까?’라는 질문에서 출발한다.
반복적인 형상 그리기를 통해 기존 이미지들이 중첩되고 점점 해체되는 과정을 담고 있는 이번 전시에서는
작가가 현재 살고있는 지역 및 그 인근을 탐구하며 얻은 인사이트를 바탕으로 한 회화 작업들을 소개한다.
Dhan Soomin's solo show titled What I Faced That Day kicks off with the question,
"What happens when figurative and abstract elements clash on a single canvas?".
In this exhibition, Dhan explores his local area and shares insights through his paintings.
Audiences will see how he captures the process of drawing repetitive shapes,
with existing images overlapping and gradually breaking apart.
